Indian all-rounder Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 due to a left arm injury. A press release issued by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Saturday said that the 21-year-old Indian off-spinner suffered a fracture in the fourth finger of his left hand.
Shreyanka bowled 3.2 overs against Pakistan on Friday and took 2 wickets for 14 runs. He was not required to bat as India won by seven wickets in 14.2 overs. Shreyanka took 5 wickets in 3 ODIs and 16 wickets in 12 T20Is for India.
In his place, Tanuja Kanwar joined the team
In his place, 26-year-old left arm uncapped spinner Tanuja Kanwar has been included in the team. Tanuja plays for Gujarat Giants (GG) in Women's Premier League (WPL) and Railways in domestic cricket.
