Jet hits electric cable on highway in France: 3 dead, took off half an hour before crash

A private jet hit an electric wire in the French capital Paris on Sunday. Three people traveling in it were killed. According to British media house Metro, the incident took place at 4 pm local time. A woman is also included in the dead.

According to the police, the incident took place on the National Highway A4 and the jet took off half an hour before the crash. The model of the plane is Cessna 172. The upper part of the jet hit a power cable, which was a high voltage electric power cable. After which the jet caught fire.

Police said the highway was closed on both sides and rescue teams were carrying out rescue operations at the spot. The pilot who flies the jet got his license only last year. The pilot had 100 hours of jet flying experience.

Officials raised questions about the jet taking off on the National Highway

The Ministry of Aviation has started an investigation in this matter. Locals said that two private jets have crashed on the A4 National Highway so far this year. Even before this, the local officials had questioned the taking off of the plane from here.

According to locals it was a holiday so the number of vehicles on the highway was high.
